Xolo Black 1X Launched at Rs. 9,999, Specs, First Impression, Review


The Indian smartphone manufacturer, Xolo, which is owned by Lava, launched a new sub Rs. 10,000 smartphone on Wednesday named Xolo Black 1X. The Xolo Black 1X is the follow up to the Xolo Black and the second smartphone in the Black series.

The Xolo Black 1X will exclusively go on sale on Snapdeal on November 6 and the registration for the sale has begun on Snapdeal. The Xolo Black 1X will be sold at a price of Rs. 9,999.

Xolo Black 1X Launched with 13 MP, 5 inch FHD On-Cell IPS Display:

The newly launched Xolo Black 1X is the second phone in Xolo’s Black range of smartphones. The first being the Xolo Black that was launched earlier in July at a price tag of Rs. 12,999. Carrying forward the style of its predecessor, the Xolo Black 1X, sports a glass back. The phone also has a leather finishing on the top and the bottom of the body. The Xolo Black 1X weighs 125 grams, and has a thickness of 7.6mm.

On the front, the Xolo Black 1X features a 5 inch FHD On-Cell IPS Display and it has a good pixel density of 441ppi resolution. Xolo has given the Gorilla Glass a miss and chosen to go with the Asahi Dragontrail glass for protection.


The Xolo Black 1X Smartphone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MTK6753 processor that is clocked at 1.3GHz and is well supported by 3GB of RAM. The phone offers its users 32GB of internal storage, which is further expandable upto 128GB by using a microSD card.


The Black 1X runs the Hive Atlas UI over Android Lollipop v5.1. In the camera department, the Xolo Black 1X sports a 13 MP shooter on the back that has phase detection autofocus and on the front it has a 5MP camera and front flash.

A 2400mAh battery runs the Xolo Black 1X that according to the company will be charged completely in three and a half hours. Among other features, it supports echo and noise cancellation, and 4G LTE.

The Xolo Black is the line up from Xolo that brings premium smartphones to its customers at competitive prices. It is an online-only sub-brand under Xolo. The earlier launched Xolo Black came with a Full HD 5.5-inch IPS display and it had a Gorilla Glass 3 protection on both sides and its was powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor (clocked at 1.5 GHz), and had 2GB of RAM.

The Xolo Black 1X looks premium and will give a stiff competition to the other Smartphones in the sub-10,000 range.
