Sony Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium Launch in India on 21 October, Review, Comparision


The Japanese tech giant, Sony has started rolling out invites for its event next week on 21st October in which it is expected to launch its latest flagship smartphones in India, Sony Xperia Z5 and Xperia Z5 Premium.

The invite sent out by Sony reads ‘Block Your Date’ though it does not give away any details about the event but according to reports the invitation is for launching the Sony Xperia Z5 and the Xperia Z5 Premium in the Indian market. The latest Sony flagship Smartphone was earlier officially unveiled in September. Also, going by the reports we can predict that the third smartphone, which was unveiled alongside the two devices, Sony Xperia Z5 Compact will not be launched in India at least for now.


Sony Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium Launch in India on October 21:

Sony had earlier in September unveiled a new range of its flagship devices last month at the Electronics Trade Fair in Berlin. Sony had unwrapped all the three new Xperia Z5 series Smartphones – Z5 Premium – a premium model, Z5 – a regular flagship and Z5 Compact – a compact variant.

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium registers its name as the world’s first Smartphone having a display of 4K resolution. Its 5.5 inch screen has a huge 806 ppi (pixels per inch) pixel density, which promises to offer a never before experienced video watching experience.


The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is powered by a 64 bit, Snapdragon 810 processor that is coupled with 3 GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory. The Z5 Premium is fuelled by a 3430 mAh large battery. According to the claims made by the company, the phone can run for 2 days with a single charge (full). The phone also has QuickCharge v2.0 technology to charge the Xperia Phone quickly.

The Sony Xperia Z5 on the other hand features a 5.2 inch display and has very much the same specifications and features inside with the only difference being the laser power 2900 mAh battery.


Both the devices boast of a brilliant 23MP camera having Sony Exmor RS as mobile sensor, it has Hybrid Auto Focus of as low as 0.03 sec, a clear image zoom of 5x and on the front it has a 5MP wide angle camera.
