The Moto X Play at the price tag of Rs. 18,499 is another smartphone that comes as a very efficient smartphone in this price tag.

Today, we compare these two smartphones to help  you decide in which smartphone you should invest your money in.

Oneplus X vs Motorola x Play Comparison: Phone Full Specification Comparison

The two smartphone are somewhat nearly priced. The Moto X Play that was launched  in July 2015 comes in two ROM variants, the 16GB version is sold exclusively on Flipkart at Rs. 18,499 and the 32GB version at Rs. 19999.

The OnePlus X on the other hand is sold on Amazon at a price of Rs. 16.999 for the Onyx back version. There is the limited edition ceramic version of the OnePlus X too and that is priced at Rs. 22,999. Though the process to get your hands on the OnePlus X might give you some pain as OnePlus has not done away with its invite system and you will have to have an invite to order the OnePlus X.

With the OnePlus X, the company has started a new line of smartphones that focus on the design of the smartphone more than raw specs and OnePlus had succeeded in coming up with a very good looking smartphone that does not at all look like belonging to the sub – 20,000 category. The smartphone has a glass back and a polished metal frame. The phone is slippery and does require some care. The OnePlus X sports a 5 inch AMOLED display having a Full HD resolution and pixel density of 441 ppi. The full HD AMOLED display looks better as this is on just a 5 inch display.

On the other hand, the Motorola Moto X Play has a totally different build and design, the smartphone looks sturdy and features a textured rubbery panel on the back. It does provide brilliant grip and you have less worries but the look will not appeal to some section of the smartphone users. The smartphone features a slightly bigger screen than the OnePlus X measuring 5.5 inches that is an IPS LCD display having a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 403 ppi.

The OnePlus X is powered by the quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor, which is clocked at 2.3GHz  and this is coupled with 3GB of RAM and Adreno 330.

The Moto X Play is on the other hand powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, four cores are clocked at 1.7GHz and the other four cores at 1GHz and this is coupled with 2GB RAM and Adreno 405 graphics.

The OnePlus X comes packed with 16GB of internal storage and this is expandable upto 128GB using a microSD card. The catch in this is that you can either use dual SIM with the smartphone or you can use a SIM and the memory card.

The Moto X Play comes in two storage variants – 16GB and 32GB, both these smartphones support expandable storage upto 128GB using a microSD card.

According to me the weakest link of the OnePlus X is its camera, though the smartphone has a 13MP camera on the rear and a 8 MP camera on the front but we have seen way better 13MP cameras than what we find on the OnePlus X. The OnePlus X camera does have features like LED Flash, Phase detection autofocus, and 1080p video but it misses the Optical Image Stabilisation, which is not much to complain at this price point.

The Moto X Play boasts of a large 21 MP camera on the rear with features such as dual LED flash, phase detection autofocus, and 1080p video capture. On the front the smartphone features a 5 MP shooter. In practical uses the camera of the Moto X Play outshines the OnePlus X camera.

The OnePlus X comes running the company’s own Oxygen OS over the Android v5.1 Lollipop and it will most probably be upgraded to Android v6.0 Marshmallow. The Moto X Play comes running the Android v5.1.1 Lollipop and it will be upgraded to the Android v6.0

The OnePlus X is backed up by a 2,525mAh battery that is capable enough to last you an entire day with mixed usage. But the Moto X Play is packed by a way larger 3,630mAh battery and it has fast charging ability, the Moto X Play is the clear winner in the battery department.

Both the smartphones will attract two different of smartphone users, the ones looking for a sturdy, durable smartphone that will last long, has a good camera and decent performance must go with the Moto X Play.

However, if the looks and design of your smartphone seriously matter to you and you like your smartphone being noticed when you are out in the club with your friends and with that you need way better performance, okay-ish camera and decent battery then go with the OnePlus X.
