OnePlus X Launched at Rs. 16999, First Impression, Specs, Price, Availability

Finally after the long wait, we get to see the much awaited OnePlus X (officially) and it truly justifies the tag that they have been using to tease the OnePlus X before the launch, it is completely #PowerfullyBeautiful. The latest OnePlus X is defined by Premium design, Nice quality, Impressive specs.

The previous OnePlus Phone, OnePlus 2 had very impressive specs, but it scored very low in the design department, which I feel one cannot afford doing in a Flagship device. The OnePlus X is though not a flagship device but OnePlus has tried balancing design and performance in this smartphone.OnePlus-X-Specs

OnePlus X Launched at Rs. 16999 with 3GB RAM & 5-Inch Display:

The launch event took place at different places including India, London, Jakarta and Beijing, among other countries. The co-founder of the company Carl Pei speaking at the London launch said that, “Sub-par products can no longer hide behind big marketing budgets. Excitement about a great product spreads within minutes.” He also highlighted their process of communicating with their users directly and said that it helps them in planning new products.

Speaking about the OnePlus X he said that the X is their try at making something powerful and beautiful, at the same time, for the design-conscious smartphone users.

OnePlus unveiled two variants of the OnePlus X – glass and ceramic, which they call the OnePlus X Onyx and the limited edition OnePlus X Ceramic.

The backplate of the OnePlus X Onyx is designed from a sheet of black glass that is polished until smooth.

The OnePlus X Ceramic is a limited edition device. Pei informed that each ceramic backplate needs to be crafted for over 25 days period and only 20 in 100 of such covers are solvable.

The OnePlus X sports a 5 inch Full HD, 1080p display that has a pixel density of 441ppi and it is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The screen size is compact enough to be operable single handedly and at the same time provides ample screen space.

On the sides of the OnePlus X there is a brushed metal frame that is etched with 17 microcuts all the way around and it provides the premium look as well as it provides the much required grip while holding the device, which is going to be very useful seeing the glass build of the OnePlus smartphone this time instead of the sandstone.

The Alert Slider that loved in the OnePlus 2 finds its place in the OnePlus X too, using it we can toggle between –  Silent, Priority Mode, or All notifications.

It is high time that other Android phones start incorporating it in their device too.

In the camera section the OnePlus X features a 13MP primary. According to OnePlus, this camera will offer faster Autofocus thanks to PDAF, and is said to focus in 0.2s

The OnePlus X is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Quad-core processor that is clocked at 2.3 GHz. With this the OnePlus X has a Qualcomm Adreno 330 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The phone comes packed with 16GB of internal storage and also offer the option of expanding it up to 128GB using a microSD card.  The OnePlus X is packed with a 2,525 mAh LiPo battery.
