The much-awaited successor of the Xiaomi Mi4, the Mi5 can be released as early as just next week. The Chinese Smartphone maker, Xiaomi has recently sent out invites stating ‘Next generation of New Conference’ for the October 19 Event and they have also uploaded a picture of the invite on the Chinese Social Networking site Weibo on their Official page. The rumors are riff that Xiaomi will be announcing the latest Flagship smartphone Mi5 in this event.

The Xiaomi Mi5’s launch has long been pending and there has not yet been any official announcement about the Mi5, though this did not let the rumors from coming every now and then.

Xiaomi Mi5 Expected to Launch on 19th October Even:

The device was rumored to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, but that was later changed with the rumors of Mediatek’s  Helio X20 processors, which is a deca-core processor. And if the October 19 announcement does become a reality it looks like the most possible scenario as the Snapdragon 820 processor will not be available till the end of this year.

The teaser image did not provide much information about what and how many devices will be launched on the October 19 event but there are the possibilities of Xiaomi launching two other devices with the  Mi 5 – the Mi Pad 2 and the Mi Band 2.

The earlier leaks about the Xiaomi Mi 5 suggest that the device will feature a 5.2-inch IPS display having Quad HD resolution, the Mi5 is said to be powered by a Deca-core, Mediatek Helio X20 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM and 16/64 GB of internal storage.

In the camera department, the Xiaomi Mi5 is said to be using a 16 MP Sony sensor and for the selfie fans it will have a 8 MP front sensor. The device also might feature a fingerprint scanner for better security.

The Xiaomi Mi 5 will most probably be announced at a price of 1999 Yuan (which is equal to 316USD and 20530 INR approx.) If launched at this price the Xiaomi Mi5 will once again be enjoying the complete sell out of stock in few seconds in India.
