Motorola Moto X Force Will be Launched in India in January, Reveals Motorola’s Amit Boni


Motorola has come up with some really amazing smartphones for the Indian market this year, like the Moto X Play, Moto X Style, and these devices has received acclaims from both the users as well as the circtics. Now, Amit Boni, the general manager, Motorola India, has confirmed that Motorola will soon be bringing the Moto X Force to India in January next year. Earlier there were reports about the Moto X Force coming to India in November but no, thanks to Amit Boni, we know that we will be able to get our hands on this smartphone in January.

The Motorola Moto X Force became the World’s Smartphone to feature a ‘shatterproof’ display when it was launched in the US in October. The Moto X Force was named as Moto Droid 2 in the US and it was launched as a Verizon exclusive smartphone.

The Moto X Force features a 5.4 inch QHD P-OLED display. The display of the Moto X Force is equipped with Motorola’s Shatter Shield technology in which the display is made by five different layers, which are composed of aluminium core, flexible P-OLED panel, twin touch layers, and the inner and outer lens covering.

With the indestructible glass panel on the front, the smartphones, under the hood, is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 SoC and it is coupled with 3GB of RAM space. The smartphone features a 21MP camera on the back and a 5MP shooter on the front. The smartphone comes in the storage variants of 32GB and 64GB, along with this, the smartphone has the option of expanding the storage to 2TB using a microSD card.


The smartphone runs on Android v5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, and it is backed up by a 3760 mAh battery. Boni was careful enough to not reveal anything about the pricing details of the smartphone in India. In the US, the Moto Droid Turbo 2 carries a price tag of $624 (Rs. 41,700 approx.) for the 32GB variant and $720 (Rs. 48,000 approx.), for the 64GB variant.

Considering the fact that most of us always wanted a smartphone which did not give us heart attacks when it fell face-first on the ground, the Moto X Force is expected to a superhit in the Indian market.
