The Motorola Droid Smartphones have never been in the limelight may be because it is a Verizon Exclusive but the Motorola Droid Smartphones are in no ways any less than the flagship device from Motorola (Moto X).

Motorola and Verizon have once again collaborated for the latest member of the Droid family, the Droid Turbo 2. It is the successor to last year’s Droid Turbo smartphone. The Moto Droid Turbo 2 is feature packed with the best specifications that fall in the lines of the Android flagships from other smartphone makers but that is not what we are excited about, the thing that has caught our attention the most is the first of its kind “shatterproof”.

Droid Turbo 2 First Impressions, Review with Performance:

According to Motorola, the screen of the Droid Turbo 2 is formed by a technology called “ShatterShield,” that prevents the screen from cracking or breaking.

In this technology, the screen is composed of five different layers – an outer protective lens, one interior lens, a flexible AMOLED display, dual touch layer and rigid aluminum chassis, these are designed to absorb shock. Motorola is so optimistic about this Shatterproof technology that the company is offering four year warranty against shattering or cracking of the screen.

Also during the launch event, Motorola dropped the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 phone face down on concrete but the screen did not crack.

The Shatter-proof screen of the Droid Turbo 2 is a 5.4-inch, OLED display and it has a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels and has a pixel density of 544 ppi that is even greater than the iPhone 6s Plus.

The phone will run last years Android v5.1.1 but the Android Marshmallow update will soon be coming to it.

The Moto Droid Turbo 2 is not just about a brilliant screen, it has a brilliant hardware powering the device under the hood. The Droid Turbo 2 is powered by a 8-core Snapdragon 810 processor that has a clock speed of 2GHz, this is coupled with 3GB RAM. These specs directly pits the smartphone against all other Android Flagship devices.

The Rambo smartphone has a big 3760 mAh battery fuelling it, this,  according to Motorola, provides 48 hours of phone life per charge. The phone comes with 25W fast charger, which can charge the phone giving it 13 hours of life in just 15 minutes.

The Droid Turbo 2 has brilliant shooters too. On the back, it sports a 21 MP camera having fast Auto Focus and no shutter lag. The front of the phone has a 5 MP selfie shooter on the top of the shatter proof glass slab.

Droid Turbo 2 has sent the 16 GB option for a toss and comes in the 32GB/64GB options. Other than that you can expand the memory of the device upto 1TB by using a microSD card.

You also get the option of personalizing the Moto Droid Turbo 2, which is the first time for the Droid line. The Droid Turbo is presently available in the US with the prices starting from $26/month that adds upto $624 (two-year span) for the 32GB variant and the 64GB variant will cost $30 per month adding up to $720 (two years).
