This new phone have been listed on the online shopping website Flipkart at a price tag of Rs. 8,320. The Micromax Canvas Mega will be available both online and offline at selected retail outlets.

The two companies, Micromax and Intex, have now long been fighting against each other for the second top spot in Indian smartphone market and they have been launching new smartphone regularly. We have already seen a pattern of Intex launching 2-3 smartphones at least every week. And today it was Micromax’s turn to launch a new phone.

Micromax Canvas Mega E353 Launched with Octa-Core Processor at Rs. 8,320

The Micromax Canvas Mega Sports a 5.5 inch HD display on the front but there are smartphone available that offer Full HD resolution in their smartphones at just a little higher price. The Canvas Mega phone is powered by a MediaTek octa-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz and this is coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of ROM. The Micromax Canvas Mega also features a microSD card slot using which the storage of the device can be expanded up to 32GB.

In the camera department, the Micromax Canvas Mega sports a 13MP primary shooter on the back and a 5MP secondary camera on the front. The Mega smartphone packs a good 2,820 mAh battery.

In the connectivity front, the smartphone supports dual SIM dual standby, though their is no 4G support. The other features of the Micromax Canvas Mega include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, and Micro USB 2.0 port.

As a Smartphone user, I feel that There is other smartphones in the sub 10000 range that offer way better build quality, features, and specs than the Micromax Canvas Mega.

One of such better options is the Coolpad Note 3, which I feel is most probably the best smartphone in this price tag. It offers 3GB of RAM and a nice 3,000mAh battery. The Coolpad Note 3 also features a better 13MP primary camera and a 5MP secondary camera.

We also saw Intex launched the Intex Cloud Swift earlier this month, that features 3GB of RAM and is priced at Rs.8,888. Intex might also be releasing its rumored Helio X10 powered smartphone soon. This Smartphone will most probably be priced at Rs. 13,000 and will feature 2GB of RAM and 13MP rear camera.

Coming back to the Micromax Canvas Mega, the company has not yet made any official announcement about the release of the device but the device has already been listed on Flipkart.
