LG G5 likely to Feature Dual Display, Dual Camera, Hardware Expansion!

After the huge success of the LG G4 the expectations are sky high from their next flagship smartphone LG G5 and buy whatever little we have got to know about the smartphone, it looks totally worth looking out for. Going by the leaks provided by the leakster @evleaks the next generation of LG flagship smartphones will come packed with some amazing technology.

The first thing to get excited about is, if you have checked out the LG V10 smartphone, you might know the thing called “second display”, for others, it is a part of the same front display panel on the front of the device but is controlled by separate drivers and controllers. So that divides the same large panel into two – one main display and a smaller display on the front of the main display called the secondary display. Blass reported that the LG G5 will not be the only LG smartphone to come with the second display in 2016 but it will be seen across many LG smartphones to come in the new year.

The second significant information that we got to know thanks to Evan Blass is about the camera of the LG G5. The upcoming flagship smartphone is said to be equipped with a dual lens setup on the rear, which gives the main 16 MP camera a wide 135-degree angle capability. The last time we saw a dual camera setup on a LG device was on the LG V10 (but that was on the front).

Further according to the reports, there is a circle with a quartet of elements in a square configuration, between the two lenses. Two of these elements are the LED flash bulbs and the other one being a laser to assist autofocus. It has the RGB sensor as the fourth element, which we also saw on the LG G4. On the front, the LG G5 is said to house the same 8Mp camera sensor as we saw on the LG G4, though nothing is known about the aperture.

The one technology that we might see for the first time is the hardware expansion. According to the reports, the smartphone will feature a thing called ‘Magic Slot’ that will allow some functional expansion using hardware modules.

Other than these, the LG G5 smartphone is said to be powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage. The G5 will be running the latest Android Marshmallow OS.
