Huawei G7 Plus Launched with 5.5 inch Display, Check Specs, Price, Review


The third largest smartphone brand in the world, Huawei, has launched  their latest smartphone in China. The launched Huawei G7 Plus is very similar to the Huawei G8 that the company had unveiled at the IFA 2015 in Berlin.

The Huawei G7 Plus is an addition to the upper midrange G line of Huawei smartphones. This smartphone can be seen as the successor to the Ascend G7 from last year, but it does come with improvements in many areas.

The Huawei G7 Plus measures 152.5 x 76.5 x 7.5 mm, and is 167g in weight, in construction it is 90% of metal and on the back there are only couple of plastic panels to hide the antennas. The phone also offers a fingerprint scanner, which sits under the rear camera.

Let’s see what does the Huawei G7 Plus have to offer. On the front, the phone has a 5.5 inch screen with a 1080p resolution, which is protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, the G7 Plus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset, octa-core CPU that is clocked at 1.5 GHz. It is supported by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card.


On the rear side the Huawei G7 Plus houses a 13 MP primary camera and dual-tone LED flash and it has a 5 MP shooter on the front to fulfill your selfie needs.

The Huawei G7 Plus comes with dual SIM functionality and supports 4G LTE. The phone is backed by a good 3,000 mAh battery.


The smartphone runs Huawei’s own EMUI 3.1 over Android v5.1 Lollipop. it is expected to receive an Android v6.0 Marshmallow update in February next year.  The phone will cost around $330 (Rs. 21,800 approx.) and will be available in three color variants – grey, silver, and gold.

The Huawei G7 Plus is presently made official only in Thailand, but we expect the company to make announcements about the global availability of the smartphone soon.
