HTC Desire 728G Release Soon in India, Check Price, Specs


The Taiwanese smartphone maker has recently launched the HTC One A9 globally but it will not be before a few weeks that the One A9 will be available in India but another HTC smartphone is all set to make its entry into the Indian Smartphone market, the HTC Desire 728G.

According to a Mumbai based smartphone retailer the HTC Desire 728G will be soon available in India at a price of Rs. 17,990. The upcoming HTC Desire 728G is a variant of the HTC Desire 728 that was recently launched in China.

The upcoming HTC Desire 728G has very much similar specifications as compared to the One E9s. The device sports a 5.5 inch Super LCD2 display that has a 720p resolution. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor, clocked at 1.3 GHz and this is coupled with 1.5 GB of RAM space.

The HTC Desire 728G offers 16GB of internal storage space that can be further expandEd up to 2TB using a MicroSD card slot. The phone supports dual SIM usage but it does not have the support for 4G LTE connectivity which is almost necessary for most of the devices prices similarly.

The phone is expected to run Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with the usual HTC Sense skin on top but in the specs listing provided by Mahesh Telecom, the phone is showed to be running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.

The HTC Desire 728G sports a 13MP camera on the back with an aperture of f/2.2 and supported by a LED flash. On the front, the phone houses a 5MP camera for the selfie fans with f/2.8 aperture. The HTC Desire 728G is packed with 2,800mAh Li-Polymer battery that is said to provide 21 hours of talk time and 485 hours of standby.

The only difference between the HTC Desire 728G and the One E9s is the 5MP secondary camera and the battery, the E9s came with 4MP ultra pixel front camera and a lighter 2,600mAh battery. The design is pretty much the same as the earlier Desire smartphone and it supports HTC’s BoomSound stereo speakers on the front.
