The much talked about Android Smartphone from BlackBerry, BlackBerry Priv has now been listed on the official website for preorder in US, UK and Canada. The BlackBerry Priv will start shipping from 06 November. According to BlackBerry, the Priv will bring the best of BlackBerry security, which they have been known for and their productivity to the Android ecosystem.
With the BlackBerry Priv, the RIM has jumped into the Android Ecosystem and it marks the first time that Blackberry will feature an ecosystem other than its own.
BlackBerry Priv Preorders Begin, US Costs $699, Canada Costs $899
The Priv Phone that starts taking pre-orders today has been listed on the BlackBerry website and has been priced at 699 USD and the phone will start shipping on 6 November (US). The Blackberry fans in Canada, will have to pay $899 CDN to get their hands on the BlackBerry phone and the users in UK will have to shell out £559 ($857) for the same phone.
With this price the BlackBerry Priv is pitted against the likes of Android flagships like the Galaxy Note 5, Nexus 6P, Moto X, and others. Will it be able to find a good place for itself in the Smartphone market, only time will tell.
The BlackBerry Priv offers a 5.4 inch curved Quad HD display and is powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor, supported by 3 GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. On the back the Galaxy Priv features a 18 MP camera, and the BlackBerry fans will love the physical keyboard. The BlackBerry Priv promises to provide a 22 hours of battery life with mixed usage thanks to the massive 3,410 mAh battery.
