In an official press release, the tech giant Apple has given a reason to rejoice to all the Apple iPhone lovers in India. Apple announced that the latest iPhone would be available in the Indian market from 16 October. This will be fastest release of an iPhone in India; Apple for the first time will launch its latest devices in India in a period of less than a month after its global launch.
This quick launch in India may be seen as a business strategy to take advantage of the upcoming festive season in the country and compete with its archrival Samsung who had recently released the Samsung Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ in India.
Apple iPhone 6S And iPhone 6S Plus Arrives In India On October 16:
Though Apple has made the launch date official but there has not yet been any announcements about the price of the beautiful devices, which in the US market remain unchanged but it might see some hike in India considering the rise of the US Dollar against the Indian Rupee.
In its official announcement yesterday, Apple said that it has sold more than 13 million new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices in just three days after its launch in 25th September across US, UK, Canada, Australia, China, France, Hong Kong, Germany, Japan, Puerto Rico, New Zealand and Singapore. This comes as a new record for Apple.
The inclusion of China in this list of the first countries to get the iPhone can be a huge factor in this tremendous sale of the new iPhones as China is one of the biggest territories of iPhone sales for Apple.
The Apple iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be made available from October 9 in more than 40 additional countries, including Mexico, Italy, Russia, Taiwan and Spain.
In India, Malaysia and Turkey, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will be available from October 16 and in more than 130 countries by the time 2015 ends.
Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook said that, “Sales for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have been phenomenal, blowing past any previous first weekend sales results in Apple’s history,” He also added that the customers feedback has been amazing and they are especially loving the latest features of 3D Touch and Live Photos. He also expressed his excitement to bring the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus to the Apple fans in more countries starting October 9.
